Chrysotile (White Asbestos)
Mg3[Si2O5](OH)4
Chrysotile (or serpentine) asbestos comes from serpentine rock that was generally mined in Canada and widely used in United States manaufacturing.
Serpentine rock is a polymorphous, magnesium-rich mineral with non-fibrous modifications known as lizardite and antigorite while the fibrous type is named chrysotile. The fibers of chrysotile are created by sheetlike crystals that roll into tight tubes and appear like hair threads.
